Led by Lisa Flood, RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, our purpose-built Bray hospital combines experienced clinical care, advanced technology and clear communication within an independent, collaborative referral service.

Our promise is to provide the highest standard of referral veterinary care at a fixed, more affordable price wherever possible.
We provide clear, honest advice at a critical time and aim to make referral as straightforward as possible for veterinary teams, clients and their pets.
Surgical Guarantee
Complications are an unavoidable possibility with any surgical procedure. Although no surgical outcome can be guaranteed, we will do everything reasonably within our capabilities to resolve complications and achieve the best possible outcome for each patient.
If a patient experiences a qualifying complication following surgery, East Coast Vets will provide the medical or surgical treatment covered by our Surgical Complications Guarantee for six months from the original procedure.

Acute Spinal case?
When a patient presents with sudden pain, weakness, loss of coordination or reduced mobility, prompt assessment can be critical.
Our dedicated spinal advice line gives veterinary professionals direct access to clinical support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We can discuss the case, review the presenting signs and help determine whether urgent referral, advanced imaging or surgical intervention may be appropriate.
Where referral is advised, our team will coordinate the next steps as efficiently as possible and keep the referring veterinary practice informed throughout.

Advanced Diagnostics and Outpatient CT
Our GE 32-slice Computed Tomography scanner supports detailed investigation of orthopaedic, neurological and soft tissue conditions.
We accept patients from local practices for outpatient CT imaging. When owners attend for an imaging-only service we do not discuss diagnoses or treatment plans directly, aiding in continuity of care with the primary practice.
We will simply perform the scan, transfer the images to our imaging specialist team and return a comprehensive report to the referring veterinary surgeon for ongoing case management.

At East Coast Referrals, we believe the best outcomes are achieved through close collaboration between our referral team, your usual veterinary practice and you.
When your pet is referred to us, we provide the additional surgical expertise, advanced diagnostics or hospital care they need. We keep your veterinary surgeon informed throughout and, whenever clinically appropriate, return your pet to their care with a clear plan for continued treatment and follow-up.
Your relationship with your usual veterinary practice remains at the heart of your pet’s care.
Our role is to complement the care they already provide, ensuring continuity, clear communication and a coordinated experience for everyone involved.

Referring a patient is simple. Veterinary professionals can complete our secure online referral form or contact us directly to discuss a case before referral. Once received, our team will review the information, contact the pet owner and keep the referring practice informed throughout.

“I am a veterinary surgeon and founder of East Coast Vets, an independent first-opinion and referral hospital in Bray.
I graduated from UCD in 2007 and have spent the past 15 years working in the UK, providing first-opinion and referral services.
I hold postgraduate certificates in Small Animal Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging, together with a GP Advanced Orthopaedic Certificate. I have been recognised as an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery since 2021.
My clinical interests include small animal surgery, orthopaedics and diagnostic imaging.
My goal is to provide a high-quality, compassionate service that veterinary practices can recommend with confidence, while maintaining continuity of care and supporting the relationship between each practice and its clients”.
